My ele got banned for the name "Hot In The Crotch". I had made the name early in 2006, funny thing was I had been Perma-banned earlier because they thought I was a bot farmer for farming bergen hot springs. When trying to get my account unbanned they asked for all my character names and that name was in the list. Never a word was mentioned to me about having an unsavory name when they unbanned my account for farming. I just changed my Ele's name to "I Was Offensive" and everything has been good since. Btw, if you send them an email or call them and complain about the ban, as long as it's undeserved they will lift the ban within an hour or so. Including 72 hour bans for offensive names.

i had a pvp monk for about a year named "Hi Oral Secks" and i'm proud that it was never banned, but i deleted him to make room for another PvE. I'm also slightly suprised that some tightass hasn't reported me for all 8 of my characters name Eatchldrn of _____, since eating children is generally frowned upon om nom nom nom

I think it would be cool if we didn't do the dissection arguments on this thread, it's entirely annoying.

I have never been banned, and it bothers me that some of these names have drawn bans. Some are just silly, but it makes no sense to me that people are forced to change because a very small minority takes something out of context. Getting banned for Hoes R For Gardens is completely ridiculous.

I was banned for 24 hrs a while back for an offensive name: Hu Flung Pooh

I was hanging out @ Droks when these 2 guys were being beyong hateful, with racial slurs, sexist and violent remarks, I had never heard anybody in the game be so extremely hateful. I was completely disgusted and told them I was going to report them. Big Mistake: don't tell people you are going to report them, just do it!! I guess they reported me back for an offensive name.

Sometimes it's easier to follow an arguement when it is addressed point-by-point. This is especially true when dealing with long blocks of text where paragraphs might not neccissarily been divided properly.

On topic: Beula Ballbreaker is a name held by a character that is as of yet, NOT banned. There may be a copyright infringement here as it is a character from the movie "Porky's"...wonder how long it will last?

Personally, if I started /reporting anyone for their names, it would be for lack of originality. Every Legolas MUST go!

Never been banned for a name, although I have had some that have been incredibly offensive, but nothing bad has ever happened (Fcuk Fidel Castro, Jigger Nim, etc.)

The only time anything has ever happened like that was when a friend and me made a guild named "Pelennor Warriors". And apparently, it's disallowed to have Lord of the Rings references in guild names... At least, that's what the e-mail said.

and my alliance mate's name is censored with moderate chat filter...

I sure thought it was. A game developed by perverts who design all the female characters to be slutty. Most all the armors have them half naked or more and go to the point of "sexy" in some ways. Just take off their clothes and you can see how perverted the designers are.

There seems to be somewhat of a double standard when they give Cynn a g-string, but ban people for a name with boobs in it...
